What are the dates of the trek?
June 25 - 28, 2024
Where is the trek being held?
Bing Canyon in Plymouth, Washington. We will be on a 15.48 mile stretch of the trail that is in Eastern Washington.
Can I invite non-members?
Yes, with your Bishop’s approval in coordination with the Trail
Boss.
Will there be medical personnel?
We will have a dedicated medical staff member on the trail. In addition, we have numerous staff members that are also medical professionals - a doctor, chiropractor and dentists.
How will you communicate in an emergency?
We will have radios to stay in contact on the trail. We will have either a satellite phone or a ham radio to reach the outside world. The US Forest Service will be aware that we are on the trail.

We will have port-a-potties but NO showers.
Do I have to bring my own
food?
You must bring a sack lunch on Tuesday, June 25th. All other
food will be provided.
Will there be a
registration fee?
No.
Do I have to attend the
whole time?
Yes. Do not plan to arrive late or leave early.
Do I have to wear pioneer
clothes?
Yes.
What items should not be
brought on the trek?
Please do not bring anything that is not on the equipment list (i.e. cell phones, electronic games, electronic music players, jewelry, makeup, etc.)
How can I physically
prepare for the trek?
Refer to the conditioning section.
How will we get water on
the trek?
Drinking water will be provided and easily accessible.
What about participants
who require daily medication(s)?
Arrangements will be made to accommodate anyone that needs daily
medications. Please be sure to indicate the participant's needs on their registration.
What is the distance we
will hike?
Approximately 4 to 7 miles per day.
What type of shoes should
I wear?
Hiking boots that have been broken in is the preferred footwear. Ankle support will be important for this trail, so high tops would be beneficial if you don't have boots. There will be one river crossing, so you will also want a second pair of shoes that can get wet.
What are the sleeping
conditions?
We will have separate sleeping areas for young men and women.
Sleeping will be either in tents provided by each individual or on the ground with tarps. If a tent is used, only one person per tent.
